Dnipro Applied College of Radio Electronics
GENERAL INFORMATION
Dnipro Applied College of Radio Electronics is a modern Ukrainian pre-higher vocational education and training (VET) institution, corresponding to EQF Level 5, with a strong focus on electronics, IT, and applied radio technologies. Established in 1962 and restructured as a college in 1991, it was renamed in 2020 to reflect its emphasis on applied technical education and innovation.
The educational process takes place in classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern computer technology, electro-radio measuring instruments, radio-television equipment, and telecommunication systems. The college actively integrates digital competencies into its programs, including cybersecurity, computer networks, and automation.
Our vocational institution has consistently served as a reliable foundation for training highly qualified specialists for leading enterprises in the electronics, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing industries including the “Southern Machine-Building Plant named after O.M. Makarov” (abbreviated as Pivdenmash, previously Yuzhmash), KB “Pivdenne“ (Pivdenne Design Office), “Dnipro Machine-Building Plant”, and others.
More than 70 of our graduates hold leadership and engineering positions within these organizations.
Over the years, we have trained more than 20,000 graduates, many of whom are making significant contributions in critical areas, advancing technology, and strengthening the country’s defense capabilities

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Dnipro Applied College of Radio Electronics delivers accredited educational and professional programs in the following areas:
- F3 Computer Science:
- Maintenance of Computer Systems and Networks, graduates are awarded the Professional Junior Bachelor’s* qualification in Computer Engineering;
- G5 Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation and Radio Engineering:
- Design, Manufacture and Maintenance of Electronic Products graduates are awarded the Professional Junior Bachelor’s* qualification in Electronics;
- Installation, Maintenance and Repair of Radio Communication, Broadcasting and Television Equipment graduates are awarded the Professional Junior Bachelor’s* qualification in Telecommunications and Radio Engineering;
- Design, Manufacture and Maintenance of Radio Engineering Devices, graduates are awarded the Professional Junior Bachelor’s* qualification in Electronics
*The Professional Junior Bachelor’s qualification corresponds to Level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) within the system of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
Each program has a duration of 3 years and 10 months.
TEACHING STAFF
The education is provided by a team of 56 pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers, including Аssociate Рrofessor, 3 candidates of sciences, 14 teacher-methodologists, 2 methodologists, and 30 teachers of the highest category.
All teaching staff hold higher education degrees. They regularly enhance their qualifications and attend conferences and seminars. They also systematically incorporate new technologies and teaching methods into their work.

As of April 1, 2025, the institution has 539 students currently enrolled.

PARTNERSHIPS AND COOPERATION
The college collaborates actively with Ukrainian higher education institutions and companies, including joint projects with digital and communication enterprises. Its strategic development includes expanding the scope of training through international partnerships, with a particular interest in Erasmus+ cooperation.
The vocational institution Dnipro Applied College of Radio Electronics cooperates with universities and institutes: Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Dnipro University of Technology, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Dniprovsky State Technical University, and others.
Additionally, agreements have been established with enterprises and organizations in Ukraine for student internships, including Elektropromremont, Dnipro Technical Service Center, Dniprospetssyhnal, KP “Dnipro Electric Transport”, TOV “Prommontazh-Rekonstruktsiia”, TOV “Dnipro-skan-servis”, and others. A joint educational and professional program is being developed with Internet Provider “DTS“.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Although Dnipro Applied College of Radio Electronics has not yet participated in international educational projects, it is strongly motivated to become an active and reliable partner in Erasmus+ initiatives.
The institution’s objective is to improve the quality of vocational education and the training of specialists in computer systems, electronics, and radio engineering. We anticipate that participation in Erasmus+ will provide valuable opportunities to:
- Exchange knowledge and experiences with international educational institutions,
- Enhance the quality of training programs,
- Provide international mobility for students and staff through internships and professional development,
- Seek support to ensure the sustainability and growth of these initiatives.
Our strategic priority is the establishment of an Educational and Professional Centre for Civil Drone Technologies, focusing on the training of specialists in civil drone operation, maintenance, and repair.
Civil drones are increasingly applied in environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, energy infrastructure inspections, and emergency response — areas that align with EU Green Deal goals and digital transformation priorities. By training staff and students in this field, the college aims to modernize its VET programs and introduce new modules in electronics, automation, and drone repair.
Dnipro Applied College of Radio Electronics is committed to building lasting international partnerships and is fully prepared to contribute to joint projects through its technical capacity, dedicated teaching team, and strong links to the labour market.
